Are you a friendly, dependable professional with medical receptionist experience? We are looking for an experienced friendly face to support our front-office experience and give every patient a positive experience at Family Medicine, PC. REQUIREMENTS 1. High school diploma or equivalent required 2. Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, hospital, or healthcare setting preferred 3. Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus 4. Experience with electronic health records systems 5. Familiarity with HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements 6. Basic understanding of insurance verification, referrals, and billing processes helpful 7. Excellent customer service and communication skills 8. Professional phone etiquette 9. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities 10. Attention to detail and accuracy 11. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 12. Strong computer and data entry skills 13. Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion 14. Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills 15. Dependability, punctuality, and professionalism Typical Responsibilities 1. Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner 2. Answer, screen, and route phone calls 3. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments 4. Check patients in and out 5. Verify patient demographics and insurance information 6. Collect copays and process payments 7. Maintain accurate patient records 8. Assist with forms, referrals, and medical records requests 9. Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff 10. Follow office policies, HIPAA regulations, and confidentiality procedures OTHER PREFERRED SKILLS 1. Bilingual abilities, if applicable 2. Experience handling high call volume 3. Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure 4. Experience with insurance authorization or eligibility verification 5. Knowledge of appointment scheduling systems 6. Friendly, patient-focused attitude 7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team 8. Flexibility with hours, including evenings or weekends if required 9. Professional appearance and demeanor 10.
